Senior Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly capable and strategic Manufacturing Engineer to lead the setup and operation of advanced fabrication environments in Abu Dhabi. This role will focus on building and optimizing cleanroom facilities, supporting 3D printing workflows, and establishing scalable manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate is not just an operator, but someone who can think long-term, build systems from the ground up, and collaborate across functions to deliver high-impact outcomes. Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Contract Duration: 12 months (potential extension) Key Responsibilities • Cleanroom Development & Operations • Lead the design, setup, and commissioning of cleanroom facilities • Ensure compliance with relevant ISO standards and safety protocols • Establish operational procedures, maintenance plans, and quality controls • Advanced Fabrication & 3D Printing • Operate and optimize industrial-grade 3D printing systems • Develop workflows for prototyping and small-scale production • Evaluate materials, processes, and post-processing techniques • Manufacturing Process Development: design and implement scalable manufacturing processes • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements • Support transition from prototype to production • Cross-Functional Collaboration: act as a bridge between engineering, operations, and leadership teams • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and external partners • Contribute to long-term manufacturing strategy and infrastructure planning • Recommend investments in tools, technologies, and capabilities • Help build a high-performing, future-ready manufacturing ecosystem Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or related field • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, cleanroom environments, or advanced fabrication • Hands-on experience with 3D printing / additive manufacturing technologies • Proven experience setting up or scaling manufacturing processes or facilities • Familiarity with cleanroom standards (e.g., ISO classifications, contamination control) Skills • Strong systems thinking and problem-solving ability • Excellent communication skills in English (required) • Arabic language skills are a strong plus • Ability to work across disciplines and influence stakeholders • Entrepreneurial mindset with a “build-from-scratch” attitude • High ownership, adaptability, and execution focus What We're Looking For: • Someone who can build, scale, and optimize - not just maintain • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment • Motivated to make a tangible impact in a growing manufacturing ecosystem in the GCC • Must be able to be based in Abu Dhabi for the duration of the contract • Experience in the GCC region is a plus but not required - BioSapien Senior Manufacturing Engineer
